'first-stop-shop' for everything in life, with links to valuable web sites
covering areas of life such as health, relationships, law, money and travel
www.riprap.org.uk A site helping you cope when a parent has
cancer
www.pupiline.net A site by young people for young people.
Read personal stories from children and teenagers of their experiences of such
topics as bullying, dating, exam stress and health issues.
www.connexions.gov.uk Confidential advice, support and
information via telephone, e-mail, webchat for everyone aged between 13 and 19.
You can also search on a wide range of topics, including learning, careers,
health and relationships.
www.youth2youth.co.uk national helpline service for young people

www.myh.org.uk A free, confidential counselling and
befriending service for young Muslims in need, providing support for Muslim
youth under the age of 25 years by telephone and e-mail. Face-to-face
peer-counselling sessions held on site.
www.bi-polar.org.uk offers accurate and up to date information
on aspects of manic depression and care in the community
www.iemily.com an excellent interactive resource for
teenage girls on a variety of topics including healthy eating, keeping fit,
sex, body and health and mind & feelings. You don't have to be called Emily
to use this site!
www.selfharmalliance.org The Self Harm Alliance is a national survivor led voluntary group
which supports people affected by self-harm. They have a helpline which you can
call 01242 578820 from 7pm - 8pm on Weds - Sun. Answer machine at all other
times.
